About Cree North Adventures
Located on the banks of the Meadow River in the Flying Dust First Nation, northern Treaty 6 Saskatchewan, Canada.

Re-connect with yourself and the land.
Learn to make pemmican and pick berries, then paddle a canoe or kayak on a guided tour. Enjoy the beauty of winter on an interpretive snowshoe expedition along a groomed trail through the bush; camp out under the stars (and sometimes, the northern lights) in our secluded campground with an outdoor shower and bathroom facilities.

We’re excited to announce a brand-new way to experience the beauty and spirit of Cree North Adventures — our new 12' x 24' All-Season Cabin Suite is ready to welcome guests!
Designed for comfort, warmth, and a true connection to nature, this cozy retreat contain many features.
TIPI EXPERIENCE
Tipi Accommodation Highlights
The Tipi has accommodations for sleeping up to 5 people comfortably. It comes with sleeping cots and sleeping bags as well as camping accessories for cooking campfire meals or a hotplate. The Tipi has access to power and has WiFi in the adjacent house with an outdoor guest addition.
Additionally, the camp has a wall tent (trappers tent) to accommodate additional guests. The guests will have access to the house services nearby during allocated hours for shower use and indoor bathroom use (there is an outdoor porta potty) . The Tipi is located 10 minutes away from Meadow Lake and located on reserve in Flying Dust First Nation. This is a small family operation and we are looking to provide authentic Cree First Nation Indigenous tourism.

All Recent Events
Over the past few seasons, Cree North Adventures has welcomed visitors from across Canada and beyond, creating meaningful connections through cultural sharing and education. From suicide prevention advocates from California to young men reconnecting with their Cree heritage, each visit was a powerful exchange of stories, learning, and healing.
Guests experienced hands-on tipi demonstrations, traditional meals, and teachings from Elders on history, wellness, and food security. These gatherings continue to strengthen community ties and celebrate Indigenous knowledge and resilience.
![]() THE WOUNDED WARRIORSMay 2023 - The Wounded Warriors came for a visit. Two gentlmen from San Fransisco, California Area were in Meadow Lake to speak about suicide prevention. Both men were invovled in a succesful suicide intervention on the Golden Gate Bridge in California. | ![]() CHILDRENS AID SODCIETY OF ONTARIOSeptember 2023 - The Childrens Aid Society of Ontario came to visit Flying Dust to help connect to young men with their heritage in the community. We were able to help find relatives. | ![]() SOUTHERN ALBERTA GUESTSOctober 2023 - Guest travelled from southern Alberta and a 7 hour drive to visit Cree North Adventures and learn from an elder about the Cree people. We did a package tour of Tipi camping, canoeing in Makwa Lake Provincial Park, Horse Wagon ride with my cousin Jon, Fancy Dance shawl dance with my cousin Mia, Campfire cooking hands on moose meat stew with my Grandmother Deloras, tipi hands on demonstration set up and hiking in the Meadow Lake Provincial Park. |

How To Get Through Cree North Adventures
Cree North Adventures is based in the beautiful region of Flying Dust First Nation, Saskatchewan. Travelers can easily reach us by car from major nearby cities:
From Edmonton, Alberta:
Enjoy a scenic 4.5-hour drive east to Flying Dust First Nation. The route offers picturesque views of the prairies and passes through charming rural communities along the way
From Saskatoon, Saskatchewan:
A 3-hour drive north brings you to our doorstep. The journey is straightforward and takes you through the heart of central Saskatchewan, making it a comfortable trip for visitors coming from the city.
